In the First of our series of 2023 customer case study blogs, Atlas Aviation showcases a previous client, The Market Inn, Ilkeston. The team at Atlas Aviation has a combined 1500h in manned and unmanned aviation and can help and guide customers where required.
Background: The Market Inn Ilkeston was built in 1843 and was one of the founding structures of the town of Ilkeston, Derbyshire. The Market Inn is a gold, old traditional English pub within the week. however during the weekend it turns into a local nightspot/club at the weekends. It also has a two storey cocktail bar which opens on the weekends.
The Brief: With a large open plan club hidden away through the back of the property, the owner of the Market Inn commissioned us for external aerial promotional videography and photography alongside a internal walkthrough and 360 photospheres to complement the marketing material for this Company, and to raise awareness of the pub and club alike.
How we carried it out: The Market inn is located in the centre of ilkeston, Derbyshire, Atlas decided that a dusk photoshoot followed by a early morning shoot would be preferable due to the high amount of foot traffic in the area , the team arrived at 5 in the morning and took shots within darkness and then dusk utilising the light of the pub inside to beautifully highlight the traditional and warm feeling of the pub. From there they were on the clock as the pub would open at 11am, the team efficiently and effectively had all external shots done by the deadline and continued throughout the day to obtain great FPV footage and internal walkthrough shots, the team really enjoyed speaking to the owner and patrons as throughout the day the patrons had become interested in the shoot and the equipment, Atlas was more than happy to show and demonstrated to the patrons and the owners the controls and lead them through a set up and how our equipment fly.
